This sketch, while definitely the work of Hans Holbein the Younger, may have been created as late as 1536, and may or may not actually be an image of Anne Boleyn. It does strongly resemble the only other remaining image of her, a 1534 coronation medal now in the British Museum, but the identification of it as Boleyn is not certain – the earliest date of such an identification was in 1542, several years after her death.
