The favourite son of Freehold, New Jersey, Bruce Springsteen is the greatest poet of the American working class. Nicknamed ‘The Boss’, Springsteen’s career as a musician spans seven decades and has been recording since 1975. In that time, he has recorded 21 studio albums and an apparently never-ending series of live albums, and become one of the most influential artists in the history of American music.
Springsteen’s songs include classics like “Blinded by the Light”, “Born to Run”, “The River”, “Born in the U.S.A.” and “Glory Days”, among many others. He has also been outspoken on many political issues, and frequently campaigned for the causes he supports, most of which fall on the left of politics.
