Born and raised in Los Angeles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of those people who just seems to have been born to act. He displayed great talent from a young age, playing the role of Tommy Solomon on “3rd Rock From The Sun” for six seasons starting in 1996. He’s since gone on to establish himself as an actor of talent and range, appearing in teen comedy “10 Things I Hate About You”, science fiction films “Looper” and “Inception”, superhero drama “The Dark Knight Rises” and more unusual fare like “Mysterious Skin”, “500 Days of Summer” and “Brick”.
He has also finished a degree in college, moved into producing and directing, recorded a few songs now and again, and got married and had three kids. He is known for his fierce commitment to his privacy – among other things, he has never publicly released the names of his children to the media.
