In 2025, Cracker Barrel announced that it would be changing its tradition logo to a simplified, but still very similar, version. At the same time, they remodeled their restaurants to a more modern appearance. American conservatives responded with their now-accustomed level of tact and dignity (i.e. one that can only be measured in negative numbers), accusing Cracker Barrel of ‘going woke’ and predicting dire financial consequences for the company as a result.
A week later, having gotten a whole lot of free publicity, Cracker Barrel quietly announced that they would revert the logo, and laughed all the way to the bank.
